Queensland University of Technology (QUT – Brisbane) – New Master of Marketing: Double Masters Degree in Marketing
From Semester 1, 2012 the QUT Business School will offer an International Double Masters Degree in Marketing in conjunction with the School of Business and Economics at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands. This will allow students to obtain two Masters degrees in just 18 months both of which are awarded by Triple Accredited Business Schools.
Students spend six months at QUT before transferring to Maastricht as an exchange student for one semester. They then return to QUT to complete their final semester and a research project at the end of which they will be awarded a Master of Business (Marketing) from QUT and a Master of International Business (Strategic Marketing) from the University of Maastricht.

New program 2011 – Bachelor of Nursing (Overseas Qualified Nurses)

The Bachelor of Nursing (Overseas Qualified Nurses) degree has been designed for nurses who are educated and registered outside of Australia. On completion, graduates are eligible to apply to register as a nurse with the Nurses and Midwives Board Australia (NMBA).
This 2-year course will commence on 31 January 2011 with a 3-week compulsory assessable orientation.
Please note, applicants must have achieved an overall English language proficiency level equivalent to an IELTS of 6.5, with a minimum of 6 in all sub-test scores prior to the commencement of the orientation module.
Graduates are eligible to apply to register with the NMBA subject to meeting the registration standards, including English language proficiency. NMBA currently requires an overall IELTS score of 7.0, and at least 7.0 in reading, writing, speaking and listening. For information regarding registration standards, please visit the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia website.

NSW Government Announces Free Schooling for PhD Student Dependants
The Department of Education and Training in the state of NSW has announced that NSW government school education fees will now be waived for dependants of international postgraduate doctorate students (with the exception of King Abdullah Scholarship holders). The change will be implemented for the 2010 school year. Those students who are entitled to a fee waiver and have already paid education fees for their dependants in advance will receive a refund of these fees.
The fees applicable to dependants of other postgraduate (masters by research and coursework) international students will not increase in 2010 but will continue to be charged at the 2009 rate. NSW government school education fees will continue to be waived for dependants of international students who are in receipt of a fully funded scholarship from the Australian government or from a government-funded Australian university.

1 enero 2010 - La tasa del visado de estudiante ha subido
